For 30 years, the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy has worked to protect and care for Northern Michigan’s natural, scenic, farm, and forest lands. GTRLC collaborates with numerous groups to help drive organizational goals including donors, foundations, and volunteers, as well as partnering with local, state, and federal agencies.
While planning the launch of their biggest capital campaign to date, GTRLC worked with Lake Effect to design and build a new website that clearly communicated their campaign goals and help drive users to online giving options, while maintaining all of the other features that helps the organization fulfill its mission, like promoting the public use of trails and public lands and communication and organizing the 100’s of volunteers that help keep these assets in pristine condition.

PUBLICATIONS & STORIES
GTRLC creates and publishes numerous articles and resources for users and needed a clean and effective way to deliver these resources online. The Publications and Stories section was organized and built to deliver an easy to use interface for users to search and find the content they are looking for.
PRESERVES & TRAILS
This is one of the most visited sections on the website and offers all of the information on publicly accessible lands owned and managed by GTRLC. Users can easily find information and directions on all of the GTRLC preserves and trails and even search for new ones based on their desired activity.
